About Michelle Cha

Michelle Cha has a bachelor and masters in vocal performance from Ohio Northern University and The University of Akron, respectively.

She studied under Kirsten Osbun-Manley, Dr. Laurie Lashbrook, and Dr. Frank Ward. Tuesday musical award winner, Orpheus recipient, and NATS multi-finalist amongst other recognitions lead her to studies in OPERA and MUSIC THEATRE to be passed down to her students.

Working both in the public and private school system and with multiple community theatres led her to believe that casting on FAIRNESS and TALENT was ideal but not followed by the community and the real world. In order to help her students and others, she and Kaylea Kudlaty began CounterPoint with a mission to give their students every opportunity so that they could grow in a safe and welcoming environment where they were judged solely on their merits and not race, gender, religion, or any other possible dividing factors.

CounterPoint Studios is dedicated to working with the STUDENT as an INDIVIDUAL and as a TEAM MEMBER so that they can grow quickly and safely.

Client Reviews

Great place to teach kids professional technique. So happy that Michelle was recommended to us. And now we are going to start dance lessons with Kaylee, also. Very happy with my daughter’s progress.

Michele Cha started out as our voice coach. She now runs an incredible theater group with dance lessons from Kaylee. I couldn’t be happier with the work they have done and lesson they have taught my kids. Thanks for it all.
